ID Recruitment are working with a growing mechanical company in Castlebarwho are manufacturers of insulated ducting solutions to recruit a R&DMechanical Project Engineer. This role will report to the R&D Manager andwill beresponsible for managing and supporting all aspects of company'sresearch and development activities, ensuring projects are deliveredefficiently, innovatively, and in line with business objectives.

- Attend weekly project meetings and provide updates on the progress ofR&D initiatives
- Support the continuous development and improvement of R&D processesand procedures
- Maintain and manage project GANTT charts to ensure targets and deadlinesare achieved
- Work closely with the R&D Manager to prioritise and plan R&Dactivities
- Conduct research into emerging technologies and industry developments tosupport innovation
- Take a proactive and creative approach to problem-solving and productdevelopment
- Monitor and report on departmental KPIs and project performance metrics
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to support productdevelopment objectives
- Prepare technical reports, documentation, and instructional materialswhere required
- Honors Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
- At least one year experience in mechanical design and/or buildingservices engineering .
- Advanced proficiency in SolidWorks, with working knowledge of Revit andBIM coordination
- Experience using CAD automation tools such as DriveWorks
- Open to adopting new technologies and innovative ways of working,including AI-driven tools and processes to improve efficiency, accuracy, andinnovation
- Strong technical writing skills with the ability to create clear reportsand instructional documentation
- Excellent analytical, creative thinking, and problem-solving abilities
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to workeffectively within a team environment
- Knowledge of product development, testing, and evaluation processes
- Legally authorised to work within the EU and fluent in English forbusiness communication
