Job Overview

The primary purpose of this position is to perform engineering work that involves general engineering methods and tools. The role may also require the use of advanced technologies and engineering concepts as the engineer develops within the medical device industry.

Responsibilities

• Ensure that internal and external customer expectations are met or exceeded with guidance from experienced engineers and managers.• Observe safety, environmental, security, and quality requirements-including QMS, FDA regulations, and other regulatory mandates.• Work independently with occasional guidance to evaluate, select, and apply standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria, making minor adaptations as needed.• Review procedures and plans before implementation, evaluate existing products, processes, and materials for failure analysis and potential improvements.• Participate in projects that require investigation, development, documentation, and implementation of new product and process technologies of moderate complexity and scope.• Demonstrate proactive insight into technical challenges, mitigate potential issues, and incorporate improvements.• Plan, schedule, and execute engineering work as part of a major project or lead a smaller scoped project.• Apply standard data analysis practices to establish root causes for product and process failures or support justification for improvements.• Recognize discrepancies in results, follow detailed procedures, and establish root causes of deviations.• Collaborate with others, ask questions, and check for understanding to support your development as an engineer.• Own quality; assure adherence to the Quality Management System, facilitate corrective actions, and contribute to quality KPIs and the journey to 5 Sigma.• Champion the development and deployment of systems and tools to drive innovation and continuous improvement across manufacturing excellence and market focused innovation strategies.

Performance Measures

Specific measures may change and are not meant to be all inclusive. Safety is the highest priority, and you will support the Environmental Health & Safety programs. Expectations include achieving site quality KPIs, shortening project durations, enabling greater efficiencies, and generating continuous improvement suggestions.

Qualifications

What sets you apart: You earned, at a minimum, a bachelor's degree in an engineering or related technical field; and have at least three years of relevant experience. Candidates who do not meet the education requirement may be considered with 7+ years of relevant experience. Additional qualification highlights include:

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross functional teams.
• Solid technical aptitude and effective contribution to a team or as an individual.
• Functional understanding of Integer's Quality Management Systems and ability to complete required documentation tasks with little or no direction.
• Competency in written and oral communication.
• Calm demeanor in a high energy, constantly changing production environment.
• Positive can do attitude and belief that failure is not an option.
