Quantity Surveyors/Estimators

Quantity Surveyors and Estimators required to join one of Cork's leading Build Contractors. This client has a large pipeline of work including Hotels, Apartments and Warehousing projects. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven individual looking to develop their career within the construction industry in an exciting, growing firm.

• Procurement, appointment and management of subcontractors & suppliers through to final account
• Produce accurate progress accounts
• Preparation and assessment of interim and final valuations for progress payments
• Monitor and report on project costs
• Collaborate with project teams to identify and mitigate potential risks and cost overruns
• Assist the pre-construction team in the delivery of tenders
• Stay updated on industry innovations, regulations and related matters

• Level 8 degree in Quantity Surveying
• Minimum 3 years relevant Irish experience, ideally with a main contractor
• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); experience in Buildsoft, Cubit or Bluebeam preferred
• Strong communication skills (written and oral) with the ability to build productive working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders
• Strong attention to detail and excellent measurement knowledge
• Ability to work under pressure, prioritise and manage multiple tasks simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines
• Ability to take initiative and work both individually and as a strong team player

• Salary circa €55k - €70k DOE
