Job Description
Quantity Surveyor

Weston Super Mare

£50,000 - £60,000 + Performance Bonus + Training

This is an excellent opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor to join a small, growing construction business at a key stage of development. Working directly with the Managing Director, you will take ownership of commercial activity across a busy workload, helping to shape how the business delivers and grows moving forward.

Are you a Quantity Surveyor who enjoys working closely with senior leadership in a small, hands on team? Do you want a role where your input directly impacts how work is priced, delivered and won? Are you looking for a position with autonomy, flexibility and strong earning potential rather than rigid corporate structure?

This construction and carpentry business has built a strong reputation for quality workmanship and reliable delivery across residential, commercial and specialist fire door projects. With a tight knit team and a growing pipeline of work, they are now looking to bring in commercial support to manage increasing demand and help drive future opportunities.

You will take responsibility for managing the commercial workload across multiple projects, supporting pricing, cost control, tendering and client interaction. Working closely with the MD, you will also have exposure to business development activity, helping to identify and secure new work while ensuring existing projects are delivered commercially effectively.

This role would suit a practical, commercially aware Quantity Surveyor who enjoys variety, responsibility and working in a small team where their contribution is highly visible. Experience across construction is useful, but attitude, communication and reliability are more important than specific sector background.

This is a strong opportunity to join a close knit business where you are not just a number, but a key part of how the company operates day to day. You will benefit from performance based rewards and the chance to directly influence workload, profitability and future direction.

The Role:
  • Managing day to day commercial workload across multiple live projects
  • Supporting pricing, cost control and preparation of estimates/BOQs
  • Assisting with tendering and identifying new work opportunities
The Person:
  • Quantity Surveying experience
  • Comfortable working in a small, hands on business environment
  • Strong communication skills and client facing ability
  • Organised, reliable and able to manage multiple priorities independently

We are an equal opportunities company and welcome applications from all suitable candidates.
