Job Description
AA Euro Group has been retained to recruit a Quantity Surveyor for a leading property development company delivering large-scale new homes and residential communities in Cork. This is an excellent opportunity to join a progressive developer with a strong pipeline of work and clear long-term career progression.
Key Responsibilities- Supporting cost planning, budgeting and cost control across large-scale new homes developments
- Assisting with the preparation of project cashflows, cost-to-complete reporting and commercial updates
- Supporting procurement activities including tender analysis, package comparisons and subcontractor / supplier recommendations
- Assisting in the preparation and management of subcontract and supplier documentation, including scope alignment and commercial reviews
- Monitoring and reporting on project costs, commitments, variations and risk items in line with internal reporting requirements
- Supporting the valuation and assessment of variations, ensuring they are properly recorded, priced and agreed
- Assisting with the preparation and review of interim valuations, payment recommendations and financial reporting
- Supporting the commercial team in managing contractor accounts, including assessment of applications and certification processes
- Assisting in the management of claims and commercial correspondence, ensuring decisions are supported by accurate records
- Identifying commercial risks and opportunities, escalating issues and supporting value-driven decision making
- Supporting the preparation of final accounts and ensuring strong cost and commercial governance throughout the project lifecycle
- Working closely with internal teams including Development, Construction, Design and Finance to ensure cost certainty and best value
- Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or related discipline
- 46 years post-graduate experience, ideally with strong residential project exposure
- Experience working on large-scale residential developments (new homes / apartments / housing schemes)
- Strong commercial awareness with the ability to manage tasks independently and as part of a wider team
- Excellent reporting, communication and stakeholder management skills
