£13.50 - £16.00 p/h, depending on experience

Location: Solihull

Shift: Day shift from 08:00 am to 5:00 pm

Type: Temporary to permanent position after 12 weeks, depending on performance and punctuality

We are seeking an experienced Quality Technician to join a reputable press tooling manufacturer. The company has strong connections in the aerospace, automotive, and construction sectors, with a growing presence across Europe. The successful candidate will uphold exceptional quality standards.

This role requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills. A key responsibility will be confidently challenging production teams regarding quality concerns. A thorough understanding of process requirements is essential for root cause analysis and implementing improvements for greater accuracy. Candidates should have a solid background in Quality Control and rectification, experience in visual inspection, and proficiency with specialist measuring tools. Candidates with at least 2 years of similar experience are encouraged to apply.

Requirements of a Quality Technician include:

• Keen eye for detail
• Good attendance and punctuality record
• Proven experience as a shop floor QC Technician
• Familiarity with at least two of the following: Shadowgraphs, Contracer, CMM, Surf-test, video measuring tools
• Ability to use basic quality tools such as verniers, callipers, micrometers
• Ability to measure down to thousandths of an inch
