About Us

For more than 160 years, Laing O'Rourke has been at the forefront of engineering excellence-shaping skylines, transforming infrastructure, and delivering some of the world's most iconic built environment projects. Our ambition is bold: to rethink how the industry designs, delivers, and operates. Innovation, sustainability, and world class engineering are at the heart of everything we do.

Our Quality function plays a vital role in this mission. It's built on strong foundations of talented people, efficient processes, smart systems, and meaningful data-and we're looking for someone who wants to help elevate it even further.

The Role

As our Quality Systems Manager, you'll be the driving force behind our digital quality ecosystem. You'll lead the strategy, governance, and evolution of the digital tools that ensure our projects consistently meet the highest standards of quality assurance and control.

This is a national role with real influence-shaping how our systems are rolled out, managed, and improved across the entire organisation.

What You'll Do Lead Governance
  • Own and maintain the governance framework for our digital quality systems.
  • Ensure processes are followed, permissions are controlled, and compliance is rock solid.
Drive Consistency
  • Standardise how digital quality tools are deployed across all business units.
  • Champion consistent approaches and accurate, reliable data capture.
Champion Improvement
  • Analyse data, feedback, and system performance to identify opportunities for optimisation.
  • Drive continuous improvement and embed best practice across projects.
Empower Teams
  • Design and deliver engaging training programmes.
  • Support project champions, provide expert advice, and act as the escalation point for system related issues.
Enable Insight
  • Oversee data extraction and analysis to support meaningful reporting and compliance monitoring.
What We're Looking For
  • A strong background in quality management, information management, or digital systems-ideally within construction, engineering, or related fields.
  • Proven experience implementing or enhancing digital quality tools across multiple projects.
  • Exposure to regulated sectors such as Power, Nuclear, Rail, Energy, or Healthcare.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage, influence, and guide stakeholders at all levels.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 and experience delivering digital systems training is a bonus.
Why Join Us?

At Laing O'Rourke, you'll join a collaborative, forward thinking team that's redefining what's possible in engineering and construction. You'll have space to grow, access to industry leading expertise, and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on major projects that shape communities across the UK and beyond.

Join us-and help build a culture of excellence, innovation, and quality that endures.
