Our client is hiring for an experienced Quality Inspector to join their busy manufacturing team in Nottingham. This is a hands on, shop floor role inspecting fabricated and manufactured components to ensure they meet customer drawings, tolerances and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Component inspection of fabricated and manufactured parts
• Checking parts against engineering drawings, tolerances and specifications
• Using inspection tools including verniers, micrometers, height gauges
• Completing first off, in process and final inspections
• Identifying and reporting non conforming products
• Working closely with production teams to resolve quality issues
• Completing inspection and quality documentation
• Ensuring measuring equipment is used and maintained correctly
• Supporting continuous improvement across the site
• Final inspection of completed jobs prior to despatch
• Checking quantities, paperwork and quality documentation before goods leave site
• Liaising with production and despatch teams to resolve issues before release

Skills & Experience Essential

• Previous experience as a Quality Inspector or Engineering Inspector
• Ability to confidently read engineering drawings
• Experience using measuring and inspection equipment
• Strong understanding of tolerances and dimensional inspection
• Excellent attention to detail
• Good communication skills and confidence to raise quality concerns

Desirable

• Experience in laser cutting, sheet metal, fabrication, welding or precision engineering
