The Opportunity Morgan Jones is delighted to be recruiting on behalf of our client for a Quality Inspector to join a busy and growing engineering manufacturing environment. This role is ideal for someone with quality inspection experience who enjoys working with precision components, maintaining high standards, and ensuring products meet customer specifications. You will gain exposure to multiple quality control areas, developing a broad understanding of inspection processes and quality procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Inspect components against customer drawings and specifications
- Verify dimensions using a range of precision measuring equipment
- Carry out first-off and in-process inspections
- Complete goods-in inspections on materials and supplier components
- Inspect finished products before dispatch
- Record and investigate non-conforming products
- Support continuous improvement and quality initiatives
- Assist with 8D investigations and corrective actions
- Support calibration activities as required
- Maintain accurate quality records
- Promote excellent housekeeping and health & safety standards
- Attend daily operational meetings
- Provide support during customer visits when required
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Experience using measuring equipment such as Verniers, Micrometers, Height Gauges and similar inspection tools
- Understanding of calibration processes
- Strong numerical ability and attention to detail
- Good organisational and communication skills
- Problem-solving mindset
- Previous quality inspection experience within an engineering or manufacturing environment
- Stable, established manufacturing business
