Quality Engineer

For one of our clients, we are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Quality Engineer to support and improve quality systems and processes within our industrial operations. This role focus on several areas of Quality, including Operational Excellence.

Main Responsibilities:

• Solid understanding of quality tools and standards (e.g., ISO 9001, IATF 16949), and ability to support product, bid, and project teams in applying processes, proactively identifying risks, and resolving problems.
• Adjust Quality Assurance activities with a risk-driven approach-anticipating risks, considering project team maturity, and focusing on high-value quality contributions.
• Support product, bid, and project teams in applying quality processes; proactively identify risks and help resolve issues efficiently.
• Monitor project execution against quality plans; evaluate progress at key milestones, verify deliverables, and provide objective "Quality Advice" to ensure transparency.
• Escalate issues and provide visibility to management when risks or non-conformities arise.
• Coordinate and manage the internal audit plan, maturity assessments, and follow-up action plans to address identified gaps or issues.
• Act as a liaison for quality standards and certifications; maintain and manage existing approvals and support audits.
• Administer the Quality Management System (QMS), including user support, tool management, and governance adherence.
• Promote awareness and understanding of the management system across the organization and ensure its continuous improvement.
• Compile reports and presentations in preparation for monthly or quarterly Quality Management Reviews.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma), non-conformity resolution, and process optimization.

Profile:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Industrial Engineering, Quality, or a related technical field.
• 2 to 5 years of experience in a quality-related role in an industrial, electronics or manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of quality tools and methodologies.
• Experience with quality standards (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, etc.).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Good communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally.
• Fluency in French and English.
