Quality Control Technician

Job Overview

A Quality Control Technician is needed for our Dundalk laboratory, focusing on maintaining, calibrating and validating QC equipment to meet GMP and regulatory requirements. The role supports sample management using GLIMS and collaborates across departments in our state of the art vaccine manufacturing facility.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and ensure QC equipment remains in a qualified state for GMP readiness.
• Review and approve RAMS/permissive work permits, liaising with EHS and vendors.
• Follow site local procedures and training expectations.
• Support deviations, change controls and CAPAs.
• Perform periodic reviews of equipment validation/qualification status.
• Execute sample management tasks using GLIMS and other electronic platforms.
• Assist with ad hoc tasks as required.

Qualifications

• Minimum BSc degree in a science related field.
• At least 3+ years' experience in a pharmaceutical GMP environment.
• Hands on experience with analytical equipment maintenance.
• In depth knowledge of QC equipment calibration and validation activities.
• Familiarity with QMS elements such as deviations, CAPAs, and change controls.
• Desired knowledge of Lab X and LIMS systems.

Required Skills

• Chemicals handling and inventory maintenance.
• Lab Information Management System (LIMS) usage.
• Laboratory instrumentation and safety.
• Record keeping and vendor management.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Lab X.
• Experience with LIMS.
