Sompo has a unique opportunity for a Quality Control Analyst to join our Insurance Operations team.

This role will sit within our Operational Risk, Controls, and Resilience team as part of the London and UK Regions COO function. This role will play a vital part in supporting the optimization of our various business lines within our Underwriting teams (UK, CE, and APAC) by identifying data quality challenges against the transformation activities Sompo is undertaking. The incumbent will strengthen the operational resilience of our services, supporting governance oversight, reporting, and controls attestations.

Location: Based in our London office with a requirement to attend 3 days per week. We foster a collaborative environment to help our employees thrive and build long-lasting careers.

What you'll be doing:

• Underwriting Operations Quality Control: Support the delivery of a quality control framework for underwriting processes, including monitoring, reporting, and ensuring compliance with standards and regulations.
• Data Quality Standards: Manage Data Quality Risk Reviews, conduct root cause analyses, and ensure standards align with underwriting guidelines.
• Process Optimization: Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, reduce turnaround times, and streamline workflows, including automation projects.
• Business as Usual Activities: Deliver QC reports, support training needs, and foster stakeholder collaboration across onshore and offshore teams.

What you'll bring:

• 2-5 years' experience in Quality Controls/Assurance reviews
• Understanding of Operations, preferably within the London Insurance Market
• Knowledge of JSOX/SOX controls, regulatory compliance
• Problem-solving skills, excellent communication, and organizational abilities
• Flexible, team-oriented, with strong administrative skills
• Bachelor's Degree (preferred), progress in professional qualifications like Chartered Insurance Institute (preferred)
