The Quality Engineering Chapter Lead - Craftis responsible for advancing the technical excellence of Quality Engineering across Kingfisher. By strengthening engineering quality, capability, and consistency, this role helps deliver Better Homes, Better Lives, For everyone, ensuring high quality outcomes for customers through robust, modern engineering practices.
Responsibilities- Define, evolve, and embed best in class Quality Engineering standards, practices, and methodologies
- Shape and deliver the Quality Engineering technical strategic and operational roadmap, aligned with Group Technology and Engineering objectives.
- Lead capability development through training paths, playbooks, and development programmes.
- Act as a senior Quality Engineering advisor, supporting chapter members and engineering squads.
- Drive continuous improvement of Quality Engineering tooling, automation frameworks, and methods.
- Build trusted, collaborative relationships across engineering and product teams to embed quality early.
- Support performance management, succession planning, and the development of future quality leaders.
- Substantial experience and deep understanding of quality engineering.
- Experience setting the QE technical strategy, leading Principal Quality Engineers through technical authority, and influencing engineering leaders to build quality in by design.
- Strong influence capability in shaping and driving change in complex organisations.
- Experience managing third party vendor partners and cross functional stakeholders.
- Strong coaching, mentoring, and technical leadership skills.
