Job Description
Job title: Quality Assurance Technician

Location : Dublin West

Salary: Negotiable DOE

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain Quality Plans, Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), quality documentation, and management systems.
  • Carry out routine site inspections and quality audits in accordance with approved ITPs to ensure materials, products, and workmanship meet project specifications and quality standards.
  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve quality control procedures and associated documentation.
  • Identify, investigate, and report non-conformances, working collaboratively with project teams to implement effective corrective actions.
  • Ensure all quality documentation is complete and verified prior to project handover, including as-built drawings, inspection records, test certificates, and handover documentation.
  • Coordinate and attend weekly quality and project meetings with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and project management teams.
  • Report project quality performance, key metrics, and quality issues to the Quality Manager and Construction Manager.
  • Arrange and coordinate site installation inspections with relevant stakeholders.
  • Analyse quality data, trends, and inspection findings to identify opportunities for continuous improvement and prevent recurring issues.
  • Conduct ongoing quality inspections throughout all stages of construction to ensure compliance with Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs).
  • Manage project walkdown activities, including punch list creation, tracking, and allocation of actions to direct employees and subcontractors.
  • Prepare and upload quality documentation and handover packs using client document management systems.
  • Ensure all work is completed in compliance with company quality standards, project specifications, applicable building codes, and health and safety regulations.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in a QA/QC, Quality Assurance, Quality Control, or related construction role.
  • Strong understanding of electrical and/or construction practices, standards, and quality procedures.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word, with experience using MS Project and electronic document management systems.
  • A qualification in Quality Assurance, Quality Control, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline is desirable but not essential.
  • Excellent analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and within a multidisciplinary project team.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to balance strategic quality planning with practical, hands-on project execution.
  • A proactive approach to continuous improvement and maintaining high quality standards across all phases of project delivery.
  • Full clean driving licence
