Quality Assurance Technician

Full-Time Training Provided Career Development Opportunity

Are you detail-driven, organised, and keen to build your career in Quality Assurance? We're looking for a motivated individual to join our client's Quality team and play a key role in maintaining the highest standards across our products and processes.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop specialist skills - full training will be provided in advanced measurement techniques, CMM programming, and internal quality systems.

About the Role

As a Quality Assurance Technician, you will support quality operations across the business, ensuring compliance with company procedures, AS9100 standards, and customer requirements. You will work closely with production and logistics teams, carrying out inspections, audits, equipment calibration, and maintaining accurate documentation.

This role is varied, hands-on, and offers continuous development in a supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs) from Inspection Control Plans (ICPs), including PPAP documentation.
  • Develop and update Inspection Control Plans to support consistent inspection processes.
  • Perform dimensional and visual inspections using equipment such as CMM, Keyence, shadow graphs, micrometers, and bore micrometers.
  • Receive full training in CMM and optical measurement systems (e.g., Keyence).
  • Learn to run, modify, and create CMM/optical inspection programs.
  • Carry out internal calibration of inspection/measurement equipment and maintain calibration records.
  • Conduct internal audits to ensure AS9100 and procedural compliance.
  • Support shop floor audits, reviewing documentation and keeping accurate records.
  • Collaborate with production and logistics teams to resolve quality-related queries.
  • Maintain all quality documentation, ensuring traceability and compliance.
  • Support the Quality Manager with additional tasks as required.

Skills & Attributes

We're looking for someone who:

  • Has strong attention to detail and a methodical approach.
  • Can communicate clearly and work well with other departments.
  • Is confident using computers (MS Office essential).
  • Is proactive, flexible, and keen to learn new technical skills.

If you're ready to grow your skills in a quality-focused engineering environment, we would love to hear from you!
