IT Project Manager - Quality & Application Projects (Manufacturing Environment)

Overview

We are seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to support application-driven initiatives within a global manufacturing environment. In this role, you will partner closely with Application Managers and business stakeholders to deliver quality reporting solutions and application enhancements that support manufacturing operations across multiple international sites.

This is a hands-on project management role where you will take ownership of planning, execution, governance, and vendor coordination. You will play a key role in strengthening project structure, improving visibility, and ensuring successful on-time delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage 2-6 concurrent IT/application projects of varying size and complexity.
• Drive project planning, scheduling, execution, monitoring, and reporting.
• Ensure adherence to internal project governance, stage gates, and documentation standards.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams across multiple regions (business, IT, and external partners).
• Manage third-party vendors and hold them accountable for deliverables, timelines, and quality.
• Establish and maintain structured communication plans with stakeholders.
• Proactively manage risks, issues, and change requests, clearly communicating impacts to scope, timeline, and budget.
• Provide clear and structured weekly project status reports to leadership.
• Support testing, validation, and rollout of application solutions used in manufacturing environments.

Requirements

• Solid IT Project Management experience (not entry level).
• Proven experience managing multiple concurrent projects.
• Strong experience coordinating and driving external vendors.
• Highly proficient in Microsoft tools, including:
• Excel
• PowerPoint
• Word
• MS Project
• SharePoint
• Microsoft Teams
• Strong organizational skills and ability to stay on track in fast-moving environments.
• Confident communicator with strong stakeholder management skills.
• Proactive, structured, and delivery-focused mindset.
• Solid IT understanding; technical or engineering exposure is a plus but not mandatory.
• Fluent in English (working language).

Preferred Profile

• Experience in manufacturing, industrial, or quality-related environments.
• Understanding of testing processes or production systems is advantageous.
• Comfortable working with globally distributed teams.
• Based in Europe with flexibility to travel when required.
• Strong personality with the ability to drive projects confidently and independently.
