Quality and Inspection Engineer

Carry out precision inspection and quality checks on engineered components using manual tools and CMM equipment within an ISO-compliant environment. You will help ensure components meet customer and regulatory requirements across a variety of precision environments.

The role

This role is based in Bathgate working a standard Monday-Friday week. This role focuses on maintaining and improving product quality by ensuring calibration, documentation and inspection standards are consistently met. You will also provide hands-on support in the workshop to ensure high quality standards are maintained throughout the entire process.

What you'll be doing

• Performing and documenting quality checks on incoming materials and subcontracted components.
• Carrying out initial, in-process and final inspections on components using manual tools such as micrometers and CMM machines.
• Ensuring proper calibration, managing calibration documentation and overseeing inspection equipment maintenance and inventory.
• Creating and maintaining FAIR inspection reports to a high standard.
• Reporting non-conformances in line with ISO-compliant processes.

What we're looking for

• Experienced and/or time-served background preferred.
• Experience using CMM machines.
• Experience within fast-paced or precision engineering environments.
• Strong attention to detail and a hands-on, practical approach.
