We have an exciting opportunity for a Quality & Compliance Manager to support our Data Center projects in Ireland (Leinster) & Europe (Germany). This role will be based out of our Naas office with travel to sites required.

We are currently expanding significantly, and are delivering large scale projects across Ireland, the U.K, Germany, Denmark and Sweden.

Overall Role Objective

You will be responsible for promoting an industry leading, quality orientated culture and learning across the business while at the same time ensuring that best practice is planned, implemented and shared effectively. The key focus of the role is supporting the delivery of construction quality and implementation of our business quality policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities/Duties

  • Develop, support, and drive the quality strategy for the business.
  • To implement the Quality Policy and our management system (including the coaching and guidance for its use)
  • To convene and deliver quality awareness workshops for new starts and new projects starts.
  • Promote a strong quality culture, through training, quality inductions and information sessions with project teams/managers, QA/QC site staff on construction details, products and installation.
  • Ensure all relevant standards and procedures are available and training completed where required.
  • Responsible for ensuring document management is at the highest standard, respecting client GDP requirements.
  • Provide leadership and expertise in relation to QA/QC which fully embraces the principles of "Right first time".
  • Assist the project teams in drawing up project Quality Plans and Inspection and Test Plans, to be implemented and monitored as the project proceeds.
  • To promote better quality planning from our sub-contractors through their quality plans, inspection and test plans, quality inductions.
  • Support project teams by reviewing details and physical works in progress at various stages of the construction cycle to ensure that we achieve the highest standard of quality in the works we deliver.
  • Work with project teams and our supply chain ensuring lessons are shared among all interested parties to strive for continuous improvement of construction quality.
  • Actively promote the use of NCR's, shared learnings and lessons learned.
  • Attend meetings with the Operations Directors and other parent company Quality Advisors enabling a network of information and experiences.
  • Represent Suir in meetings or interviews regarding construction quality.
  • Manage the quality site audit schedule ensuring quality alignment.
  • Carry out Internal Audits in support of our management system.
  • Ensure we are in full compliance with our quality accreditations and facilitate External Audits
  • Implementing root cause analysis, identifying appropriate corrective action in the event of non-conformances
  • Engage with project teams to review supply chain quality issues and assist with resolution.
  • Actively partake in all start up and close out meetings to facilitate focused risk mitigation discussions and lessons learned respectively.
  • Tracks and ensures O&M are completed on time at the end of projects.
  • Prepare case studies and bulletins on regional experiences of defects resolution and new product trials.
  • Collating quality data and statistics from the sites and reporting on a monthly basis.
  • Report on non-conformances or corrective actions and analyse and monitor trends.
  • Assist in managing and maintaining the company Management System
  • Any other reasonable and relevant duties as requested by your Manager, necessary to meet the ongoing needs of the company.

Qualifications / Skills

  • A trade/engineering background is essential.
  • Auditor training - not mandatory but preferred.
  • 10+ years professional experience.
  • A high level of technical knowledge across the construction industry.
  • An understanding of requirements for off-site quality control.
  • Demonstrated capability in Quality Management.
  • Working knowledge of CQV a strong advantage.
  • Experience on projects within Data Centers and other specialised industries is desirable.
  • Team player and able to build and maintain relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Flexible to change and open to constructive feedback.
  • Strong IT skills, with experience using digital construction platforms.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage at various levels.
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • An ability to educate and train others effectively on quality related matters.
  • Able to work independently.
  • Good problem-solving skills.
