Job Description

In this role, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting comprehensive assessments and developing care plans that prioritise the best interests of children.
  • Working closely with children, families, and other professionals to facilitate timely and effective permanence decisions.
  • Providing support and guidance to foster carers, adoptive parents, and kinship placements.
  • Maintaining accurate and up to date case records and ensuring compliance with statutory requirements.
  • Participating in multi agency meetings and contributing to the development of best practices within the team.

To be considered for this position, you must possess essential qualifications and skills, including:

  • A recognised social work qualification (BA/MA in Social Work or equivalent).
  • Current registration with Social Work England.
  • Experience working within a children's services context, particularly in permanence planning.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with children and families.
  • Sound knowledge of relevant legislation and frameworks, including the Children Act and adoption processes.
