Job Description

Join our dedicated team in Middlesbrough as a Qualified Social Worker (QSW) specializing in Child Protection (CP) and Children in Need (CIN). We are seeking an experienced professional who is passionate about supporting vulnerable children and families. In this role, you will work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to ensure the safety and well being of children in our community.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting comprehensive assessments to identify the needs and risks for children and their families.
  • Developing and implementing effective care plans in collaboration with families and other stakeholders.
  • Managing a caseload of children and families, providing ongoing support and intervention as necessary.
  • Maintaining accurate and up to date case records in accordance with local policies and statutory requirements.
  • Participating in regular team meetings and supervision to discuss cases and share best practices.

To be considered for this position, you must possess the following qualifications and skills:

  • A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, CQSW, DipSW).
  • Current registration with Social Work England.
  • Experience working within Child Protection and Children in Need frameworks.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and families.
  • Excellent assessment and analytical skills to identify risks and develop effective interventions.
