Job Description

Birmingham May Start Full-time

Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a well-regarded secondary school in Birmingham to appoint a qualified Science Teacher from May.

This is a full-time position with the potential to continue beyond the initial placement.

You'll be joining a supportive and established Science department, delivering engaging lessons across KS3 and KS4 and playing a key role in maintaining strong classroom standards and student progress.

The role:
  • Teaching Science across KS3 and KS4
  • Planning, delivering and marking lessons in line with the national curriculum
  • Supporting students of varying abilities to achieve their full potential
  • Maintaining strong behaviour management and a positive learning environment
  • Working collaboratively with department staff and senior leadership
The school:
  • Well-led with a supportive SLT
  • Strong behaviour systems in place
  • Positive learning environment and good staff retention
  • Easily accessible location in Birmingham
Requirements:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience teaching Science within UK secondary schools
  • A valid DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
  • Passion for delivering engaging and effective lessons
