Your Rota

You'll work a 2-week rotating pattern:

Week 1: Monday - Friday 9:00am - 6:00pm

Week 2: Monday - Saturday Wednesday off 9:00am - 6:00pm

Are you an experienced Dispensing Optician ready to take the next step in your career?

We're looking for an ambitious and motivated Optical Manager to take responsibility for the day-to-day running of a busy optical department, lead and develop a team, and ensure every customer receives outstanding service and clinical care.

What You'll Be Doing

As Optical Manager, you'll take ownership of the day-to-day running of the optical department, including:

• Leading, supporting and developing a team of Optometrists and Optical Assistants
• Coaching colleagues to help them reach their full potential
• Managing clinic and shop-floor operations
• Ensuring compliance with relevant processes and procedures
• Monitoring departmental performance, sales forecasts and targets
• Supporting an excellent customer and patient journey
• Handling customer queries and resolving issues effectively
• Ensuring the department is fully equipped to meet customer needs
• Working closely with the Optometrist to deliver high standards of clinical care

About You

We're looking for an experienced optical professional who enjoys leading teams and developing others.

You'll need:

To be a fully qualified Dispensing Optician Current GOC registration To be on track with your statutory CPD requirements Proven leadership or management experience within optics Confidence coaching and developing colleagues Excellent customer and patient care skills Strong organisation and time-management skills A commercial mindset and the drive to achieve departmental targets The ability to thrive in a busy, fast-paced optical environment
