Role Overview

We are seeking talented actuarial professionals to join our actuarial team. Opportunities exist across a range of experience levels, from Trainee Actuary through to Actuarial Manager. Successful candidates will contribute to the development, pricing, monitoring and management of our products, while supporting the delivery of business objectives. The roles provide opportunities to work across product development, pricing profitability analysis, strategic initiatives, partnering with teams across the organisation. Depending on experience and level, the role may involve increasing responsibility for technical work, stakeholder management and project leadership. Candidates for the Trainee Actuary role may also be considered for opportunities within other actuarial teams, not solely within Product Development & Pricing.

What you will help us to achieve

Product Development and Pricing

  • Support the development, implementation and maintenance of product pricing methodologies and models.
  • Perform actuarial analysis to support pricing decisions and product enhancements.
  • Analyse experience, profitability and emerging trends, identifying opportunities and risks.
  • Assist with the maintenance and enhancement of actuarial models, assumptions and processes.
  • Contribute to the delivery of pricing and product initiatives in line with business objectives.

Analysis and Insight

  • Produce high quality actuarial analysis and recommendations.
  • Monitor product performance and provide actionable insights to support decision making.
  • Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.

Governance and Risk Management

  • Ensure compliance with internal governance standards, policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain appropriate controls, documentation and model governance.
  • Identify and elevate risks appropriately.

Collaboration and Stakeholder Management

  • Build effective relationships with colleagues across Underwriting, Operations, Product and Distribution.
  • Support cross functional initiatives and contribute to business projects.
  • Communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non technical audiences.
  • Work collaboratively to resolve issues and deliver business outcomes.

Leadership and Development

  • For Qualified Actuary: Provide technical leadership on actuarial projects and initiatives.
  • Coach and support junior team members.
  • Take ownership of key deliverables and workstreams.
What you will need to be successful in the role
  • Qualified Actuary.
  • Experience in actuarial pricing, product development, valuations, or related actuarial disciplines.
  • An understanding of regulatory, capital and accounting frameworks would be beneficial (e.g. Solvency II, IFRS 17, LICAT where relevant).
  • Good understanding of life insurance products and actuarial techniques.
  • Experience using actuarial modelling and analytical tools (e.g. Prophet, SQL, Excel).
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high quality outputs.
