QTS Tutor

Overview

Job Title: QTS Tutor (Stockport)
Location: Stockport
Pay Rate: GBP25 per hour (starting rate)
Job Type: Temporary Part-Time 20 hours per week
Start Date: March 2026

We are seeking a QTS Tutor to provide one-to-one tuition for students in Stockport.

Responsibilities

• Deliver one-to-one GCSE English and Maths tuition, tailored to meet individual learning needs.
• Adapt teaching methods and materials to support student progress.
• Assist students with study skills, revision strategies, and exam preparation.
• Build positive, trusting relationships with students to create a supportive learning environment.
• Provide regular feedback to parents/carers and professionals to track student progress.

Essential Requirements

• QTS (Qualified Teacher Status).
• Minimum 1 year of experience teaching or tutoring English or Maths, ideally at GCSE level.
• Right to work in the UK. Must have, or be willing to undertake, an Enhanced DBS check.

Desirable Qualifications

• Experience teaching both English and Maths at GCSE level.
• Experience working with students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) or additional learning needs.
