The Opportunity

An exciting opportunity has become available for a proven QC Lab Technician to join one of our established clients in the chemical manufacturing sector. As QC Lab Technician to support testing activities across the site, ensuring that all incoming materials and finished products meet rigorous quality standards. This role plays a crucial part in maintaining compliance, supporting continuous improvement, and keeping production moving smoothly.

This position will be working on a permanent Friday to Sunday rota - 6am to 6pm with Monday to Thursday off.

Responsibilities
  • Carrying out in process, final product, and incoming goods testing to ensure all materials meet required specifications.
  • Preparing samples for shipment and maintaining accurate laboratory records and certificates.
  • Supporting production teams by providing clear testing outcomes, adjustment recommendations, and technical guidance.
  • Assisting with equipment calibration activities, development tasks, and training colleagues in test methods.
  • Identifying non conforming results, escalating issues promptly, and ensuring corrective actions are completed and documented.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Strong understanding of chemistry testing methods and hands on laboratory experience within an industrial setting.
  • Confident communicator with excellent attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining safety and quality standards.
  • Experience working with sampling processes, product testing, and troubleshooting laboratory equipment.
  • Knowledge of quality management systems such as ISO 9001, 14001, or 45001, with the ability to support investigations and root cause analysis.
  • A BTEC or HNC in Chemistry (or equivalent Level 4 qualification) as a minimum, with higher level study considered advantageous.

  • Experience working in a highly regulated chemical environment
