The QC Administration & Operations Support Officer will be responsible for provision of an efficient and effective administrative function within the department including liaising with customers and suppliers to raise quotations, sales and purchase orders and process invoices.

Main duties of the jobThe post holder will ensure the provision of an efficient and effective administrative function within the department.
Liaise closely with the Senior Laboratory Assistant to implement and develop an effective system to ensure traceability of test samples and external visits as well as archiving of both physical and electronic documents.
To liaise with customers and suppliers to raise quotations, sales and purchase orders and to process invoices in a timely manner and deal with any queries that may arise.
To provide confidential and comprehensive administrative support to the Principal Pharmacist (Quality Services Manager) incorporating secretarial, administrative and clerical support to the Senior Pharmacist (QA/QC) Deputy Quality Services Manager and the Operations Scientist.
The post holder will be highly proficient in using information and communication systems and technology, with a willingness and aptitude to develop this expertise.

Person Specification Experience- Proficient in the use of IT systems e.g. Word processing, spreadsheets, internet, Excel, PowerPoint.
- Experience of negotiating and obtaining information.
- Experience in finance or accounting.
- Good attention to detail, organised and methodical with ability to work accurately with tight deadlines and under pressure.
- Ability to work and communicate effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team and establish good working relationships at all levels.
- Ability to complete tasks and projects on time and to a high standard, demonstrating a can do attitude and ability to work and act on own initiative.
- Regularly demonstrates a positive attitude and is customer focused ensuring that the needs of our customers are maintained and managed appropriately.
- Understanding of confidentiality issues.
- Understanding of Health & Safety at Work and COSHH Regulations.
- A good understanding of the health and social care environment and roles and responsibilities within it.
- Able to demonstrate a good level of general education to Grade C and above GCSE level in Mathematics and English or equivalent.
- RSA III or equivalent and/or Word Processing Qualification.
- NVQ Level 3 Administration qualification or equivalent.
- Other relevant secretarial qualifications or experience e.g. shorthand, audio typing, minute taking.
