QA/QC Inspector

This is an exciting opportunity to work as a QA/QC Inspector on the Hinkley Point C project. The role will report to the Quality Manager and support the site Quality Lead team. The candidate will work in a 10 day on site rotation followed by a four day weekend, starting on a Tuesday and finishing the following Thursday, with overtime and weekend pay rates in line with the site ESCA agreement.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver a high quality, consistent and competent before, during and welding inspection in accordance with project/company requirements, standards and procedures.
• Ensure all work scope is completed safely, ensuring no detrimental impact to personnel, fabric or environment.
• Read, understand and implement all applicable company/project policies, working practices and procedures, ensuring at all times that the welding work scope is completed safely and to a high standard.
• Complete all work scope in accordance with applicable work pack/job card instructions, associated procedures and drawings/sketches.
• Provide inspection support to construction activities where required, as part of an integrated multi discipline team.
• Compile complete quality documentation in accordance with company and contractual requirements.
• Have thorough knowledge of fabrication and NDT techniques (VT, PT & MT).
• Have thorough knowledge of QC inspection and dimensional inspection techniques.

What You'll Need

• CSWIP 3.1 welding inspector or 3.2 senior welding inspector.
• CSWIP/ PCN Level II, Penetrant Testing.
• Significant experience as a Welding Inspector.
• Good working knowledge of Health & Safety.

Desired Qualifications

• PCN Level II, Magnetic Particle Inspection.
• PCN Level II, Radiographic Interpretation.
• BGAS CSWIP/ICorr/NACE Coatings Inspector.
• DV/SC clearance.
