Job Description
Montezuma's - QA Manager Main Purpose:
  • Lead the development and audit of a robust, compliant quality management system in line with statutory, customer and best practice standards
  • Create a lean culture of continuous improvement within all areas of the Factory alongside department managers
Main Duties:
  1. Responsible for heading factory external audits and maintaining all accreditation
  2. Responsible for preparing and managing our internal and external audits maintaining compliance and document validation
  3. Ensuring the day to day management of the Technical department and schedules run smoothly and to schedule
  4. To build and maintain a quality management system based on relevant audit standards and highlighting best practice
  5. Ensure all non-conformances are raised, recorded and managed working alongside other departments where needed to maintain compliance
  6. Lead and develop the Factory team so they are engaged and focused on quality and compliance
  7. Lead the HACCP team within the business
  8. Work alongside the department managers to ensure we create a lean culture with proactive continuous improvements whilst maintaining our quality standards
  9. Responsible for heading factory tours spreading the Montezuma' s magic to all visitors
  10. Identify, report and head cost saving exercises within the Operations team
  11. Identify, report and head continuous improvement within Operations by running leaner and streamlining existing processes and procedures which in turn will increase profitability within the Operations team
  12. Chair team meetings and lean across the team setting and delegating actions as and when required from KPI results
  13. Work alongside the senior management team to achieve KPI' s
  14. Assisting and supporting the customer service team as and when required
  15. Accountable for the day-to-day management of the complaints log ensuring all food safety complaints are investigated, actioned and reported on in full and on time
  16. Accountable for ensuring all food safety complaints are responded to within 24 hours of receipt managing all communication with the customer until closed/resolved.
  17. Assist with the NPD sign off procedure
  18. Ensure a robust PPM is in place and audited
  19. Champion Food Safety and Health & Safety culture in the business
