QA Auditor

The Role.As QA Auditor, you will be responsible for carrying out quality audits and inspections across Water and Wastewater projects, identifying areas for improvement, ensuring compliance with project and company procedures, and supporting project teams in maintaining a strong quality culture.
The role will involve regular travel between the Dublin office and project sites, working closely with Project Managers, Site Managers, Engineers, Forepersons, subcontractors and clients.
Key Duties and Responsibilities will include but are not limited to: Key Responsibilities:- Conduct planned and reactive quality audits across Water and Wastewater projects.
- Monitor compliance with company Quality Management Systems, project-specific quality plans and client requirements.
- Review and audit project documentation, including Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), check sheets, inspection records, test results and quality records.
- Carry out site inspections to verify that works are being completed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, procedures and agreed standards.
- Identify non-conformances, deficiencies and opportunities for improvement.
- Raise, monitor and close out Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), observations and corrective actions.
- Verify that corrective and preventive actions are effectively implemented.
- Review subcontractor and supplier quality documentation and performance.
- Support project teams with the preparation and maintenance of quality documentation and handover records.
- Participate in internal, client and external audits as required.
- Assist with root-cause analysis and the implementation of corrective actions.
- Monitor trends in quality performance and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Ensure appropriate quality records are maintained throughout the project lifecycle.
- Support the successful compilation of project handover and close-out documentation.
- Promote a positive quality culture throughout the organisation and on project sites.
- Provide guidance and support to site personnel on quality requirements and best practice.
- Prepare audit reports and communicate findings clearly to relevant stakeholders.
- Ensure all quality-related activities are carried out in accordance with applicable legislation, standards and company procedures.
- Work collaboratively with the HSEQ team and wider project delivery teams.
- Previous experience in aQA/QC, Quality Auditor, Quality Engineer or similar rolewithin construction or civil engineering.
- Experience working onWater, Wastewater, Utilities or Civil Infrastructure projectsis highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of Quality Management Systems and quality assurance principles.
- Experience conducting site and project audits.
- Good knowledge of Inspection & Test Plans, NCRs, corrective actions and quality documentation.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications and project documentation.
- Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to quality.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively with site teams, management, clients and subcontractors.
- Strong organisational and reporting skills.
- Full clean driving licence and willingness to travel to project sites.
- Relevant third-level qualification in Engineering, Construction, Quality, Science or a related discipline is desirable.
- Knowledge ofISO 9001and experience within an ISO-certified environment is an advantage.
- Internal lead auditor to ISO 9001is an advantage.
