Python Developer /Engineer - Python/Kubernetes/Terraform/Ansible/Linux

Location: Glasgow, UK
Job Type: Full-time/Permanent

Strong Python developer/engineer required to join leading global financial services company in Glasgow. Involved in design, develop ment, and maintaining scalable software applications using Python. Working with high calibre cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions.

Hybrid working. Glasgow - 3 days in office.

C ontribut ing to the buildout and integration of modern tools used for source control, code reviews, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and deployment processes.
Any industry background covering productivity, automation, and tooling. Any software product or SaaS environment welcome.

Essential Skills

• Containers and Kubernetes
• System administration experience on Linux or Windows
• Familiarity with IntelliJ, PyCharm, VS Code, or Visual Studio
• Integration of developer tools with cloud platforms (Azure or AWS)
• Experience with deployment orchestration (eg, Terraform, Ansible)

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop clean, efficient, and testable code in Python

• Knowledge of SQL and database programming.

• Collaborate with globally distributed teams on agile projects

• Collaborate with Front End developers, designers, and other team members

• Integrate with third-party APIs and data sources

• Evaluate and implement best practices for software development environments

• Participate in code reviews and contribute to best practices

• Troubleshoot, debug, and improve existing systems
