Purview Consultant

We're looking for a Purview Lead Consultant / Purview Implementation Specialist with excellent communication skills and the ability to provide skills transfer/training to an internal team with little to no knowledge of Purview.

Please note this role has been deemed inside IR35 and requires one day per week onsite.

• Extensive hands-on experience with Microsoft Purview, including onboarding data assets, configuring governance controls, and implementing data quality rules.
• Strong background in developing and operationalising data governance frameworks, policies, and standards within Purview.
• Proven ability to deliver structured Purview training and capability-building programmes, tailored for both technical teams and business users such as data stewards.
• Lead the onboarding of all relevant data assets into Microsoft Purview, ensuring accurate classification, lineage mapping, and metadata enrichment.
• Collaborate with the Head of Data Governance to embed Purview as a core capability.
• Deliver hands-on training to the Data Governance team to build internal Purview expertise and support long-term capability development.
• Design and facilitate tailored training sessions for business users, including data stewards, to promote adoption and operationalisation of Purview.
• Provide expert guidance on Purview configuration best practices, including domain setup, collection management, and access control.
• Monitor and report on data quality metrics, usage patterns, and governance KPIs using Purview's reporting capabilities.
• Act as a subject matter expert in forums and working groups, advising on Purview's role in enhancing data discoverability, trust, and usability.
• Collaborate with technical teams to troubleshoot integration issues and optimise Purview performance across the Azure data platform.
