Purchasing Administrator

Your new company
Hays are working with a Manufacturing business on a temporary basis who are seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Administrator Assistant to join their busy and fast-paced team. The ideal candidate will be highly organised, a strong team player, and capable of managing multiple administrative tasks with accuracy and efficiency. While experience with procurement systems is beneficial, full training will be provided.
Your new role
As a Purchasing Administrator, your role will involve:

  • Process project documentation and data entry tasks.
  • Enter and maintain works orders and related records.
  • Update Excel spreadsheets.
  • Manage and update order confirmations.
  • Handle telephone enquiries and provide administrative support to the procurement team.
  • Perform general administrative duties including filing and document management.
  • Ensure compliance with the company's ISO procedures at all times.
  • Maintain and update product categories, lead times, and pricing information.
  • Track and update the status of works orders and maintain accurate records.

  • What you'll need to succeed
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in an administrative role.
  • Available to start immediately.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general office software.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
