Position OverviewRA Dalton Ltd are recruiting a Purchase Ledger Trainee to work in our fast-paced accounts department at Head Office. We are seeking detail-oriented and organised individual. A position in our crook office may be considered. No experience is required.
Training and DevelopmentRA Dalton is committed to providing a comprehensive training program for our Purchase Ledger Trainee. You will have access to hands on training, mentorship. We would like the successful candidate to enrol at college in September to complete a Level 2 Certificate in Accounting (AAT) however this is not essential.
The Role- Processing high volumes of purchase invoices accurately and efficiently
- Checking invoices against purchase orders and good received notes
- Raising queries as needed in a timely manner
- Maintaining up-to-date and accurate records within the accounting system
- Assisting with month-end processes
- Development and maintenance of Excel spreadsheets
- Use of Microsoft Outlook to manage e-mails
- 5 GCSEs at grade 4 or above, including English language and maths
- Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
- Good organisational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Eager to learn

- Hours of work - age dependant
- Monday - Friday
- 8:30 Am to 5:00PM
- 40 hours per week
- Salary £ 16,640 - 26,437
- Starting salary age dependant
- Position will be at our Head Office: Burtree Ford, Cowshill, Bishop Auckland, Dl13 1DB
