We are currently recruiting Learning Support Assistants to join a specialist SEND school in Slough from September. This is an excellent opportunity to support pupils with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD) in a specialist school environment. You will work closely with teaching staff to help pupils access learning, develop communication skills, and achieve their individual targets.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils with ASD and PMLD on a 1:1 basis and in small groups.
• Assist with learning activities and classroom routines.
• Support communication, emotional regulation, and engagement.
• Encourage independence and the development of life skills.
• Help create a safe, structured, and inclusive learning environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience supporting children or young people with SEND, ideally ASD and/or PMLD.
• A calm, patient, and resilient approach.
• Strong communication and relationship building skills.
• A genuine interest in supporting children with additional needs.

Training and ongoing support will be provided.
