Job Description
Do you have experience in complex, technically challenging projects and want to join the UK team of our Global Healthcare Division? Do you enjoy developing sustainable solutions for technical challenges and working on a wide variety of project types? In your role, you will be the technical lead for Public Health engineering advisory and design services on healthcare projects. You will oversee the delivery of sustainable, zero-carbon, innovative, and high-quality advisory services and design solutions for Public Health building engineering systems. To succeed, you must be confident facing clients and have excellent knowledge of Hospital/Healthcare projects and their Public Health building services installations. Candidates should have or be qualifying for MCIBSE, MIHEEM, or MSoPHE accreditation; also, a thorough understanding of digital design tools like Revit/BIM 360 is required.

Your new role
As our new Public Health Associate, you will be part of our growing UK team working on healthcare projects throughout the UK and internationally. You will have the opportunity to excel in technical delivery and develop a strong understanding of client care.
We offer flexible working arrangements, allowing candidates to work from any of our primary offices or from home. Our ongoing projects include Hillerod Hospital Denmark, Cambridge Children's Hospital, Kettering General Hospital, and KEMH, Falklands Islands.
Your key responsibilities will be:
- Lead, develop, and manage a team of Public Health Engineers and technicians, collaborating with other engineering disciplines.
- Enhance the profile and reputation of Ramboll and our UK Healthcare Team.
- Develop and oversee Public Health concepts and design solutions.
- Perform detailed design and calculations using industry software such as MagiCad, Revit, etc.
- Inspire and motivate your project team members.
- Communicate with clients and partners, representing Ramboll at meetings.
- Support key accounts and develop relationships with new clients.
- Contribute to our UK Healthcare sector business development strategies.
- Implement best practices to deliver sustainable, zero-carbon, innovative, and high-quality services.
- Manage your projects and act as a project manager for MEP or Public Health engineering projects.

About you
We will support your development from day one. Key qualifications and skills include:
- Experience in Public Health design engineering on UK projects, preferably healthcare or complex, high-resilience projects.
- Proven leadership in a multidisciplinary environment.
- Degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
- Membership or eligibility for MCIBSE, MSoPHE, MIMechE, or MIHEEM.
- Understanding of SuDS and fire protection systems.
- Reputation as a trusted Building Services leader.
- Proficiency with digital design tools like Revit/BIM 360.
- Strong project management skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to motivate teams and build client confidence.
- Autonomous working capability on technical tasks.
