We are looking for a confident and experienced Public Affairs Account Manager to join our team, working with a wide range of clients and supporting them with powerful purpose driven campaigns.

The ideal candidate will have either experience have a minimum of 2 years' experience in Parliament or government department or 3 years in an agency.

Excellent writing skills are a must, as are a keen eye for detail and the ability to juggle multiple workstreams.

The role

  • Drive forward the day-to-day delivery of Public Affairs programmes and campaigns
  • Deploy excellent writing skills to produce high quality written work with a strong attention to detail
  • Proactively contribute creative ideas to develop exciting and engaging campaigns for existing and prospective clients
  • Plan and lead routine client meetings and instil confidence in your oversight and command of the account with the client
  • Think and act independently, taking the initiative when appropriate
  • Provide concise and high-quality advice on the significance of political developments and the consequences for the client, making robust recommendations for a response
  • Manage the junior team through solid forward-planning and coordination, acting as the key lynchpin between the junior and senior team
  • Maintain an excellent political network
  • Oversight of political monitoring

Skills & Experience

  • At least 2 years' experience in Parliament or a government department or 3 years in an agency
  • Excellent writing skills across multiple disciplines
  • Strong media relations skills and network of journalist contacts
  • Confident team player with strong communications skills and the ability to form effective working relationships with colleagues, clients, partners and suppliers
  • Understanding and management of the competing pressures of client needs and profitability of the business
  • Experience in media relations is desirable
