Psychology Students needed

Job Overview

Axcis Education provides temporary roles for psychology students interested in child psychology, social work or psychotherapy. The positions are term time only, in schools as SEND teaching assistants. Working hours are 8:30 to 3:30, two or three days a week with an option of up to five days.

Responsibilities

• Build relationships with pupils who need 1 1 support in the classroom.
• Support their development and maintain communication with the school's SENCO and key staff.
• Assist the main teacher by following lesson plans, leading 1 1 activities and ensuring compliance with school behaviour policies.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Current or upcoming Psychology degree or a related study.
• Suitable qualification for the advertised position.
• Prepared to attend a face to face interview to demonstrate suitability.
• Compliance with safeguarding: up to date DBS (or provision to process one) and other mandatory checks in line with DfE guidelines.
• Exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (ROA) 1974 if working with children or vulnerable adults.
