AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers, including the public sector.

The AWS Prototyping and Cloud Engineering (PACE) team seeks a Prototype Architect to support our growing and dynamic business. The team helps customers experiment with emerging technologies by building early product iterations, exploring new technical grounds, and creating industry-first solutions with AI, machine learning, generative AI, robotics, deep learning, spatial compute, and serverless architectures. Our goal is to empower customers to innovate faster, think bigger, and realize their ideas.

You will collaborate closely with AWS Field Teams-including Account Managers, Solution Architects, and Technical Account Managers-to help customers solve complex problems using emerging technologies.

Key job responsibilities

1. Drive customer outcomes and AWS service adoption by building functional prototypes that accelerate experimentation.
2. Combine design, architecture knowledge, and development skills to contribute to deep-dive design exercises and architectural discussions, building world-class AWS solutions.
3. Conduct sessions of various sizes to transfer knowledge to customers, partners, and internal teams.
4. Learn and experiment with emerging technologies such as Generative AI, Machine Learning, Blockchain, AR/VR, IoT in an enterprise context.
5. Contribute to AWS customer-facing publications like whitepapers, tutorials, blogs, and open-source repositories.
