The purpose of this role is to help the Proposition team in Quilter Cheviot to establish, maintain, and improve a competitive Financial Planning and Investment Management proposition, supporting the Investment Management Proposition Manager, Financial Planning Proposition Manager and Head of Advice Standards in the team. This will include a wide range of tasks and requires a strong working knowledge of financial planning and investment management services / products, as well as Advice Standards. You will need to be comfortable working with front office teams, central teams including risk and compliance, and senior leadership across Quilter Financial Planning, Quilter Cheviot Financial Planning and Quilter Cheviot.

Key role requirements from a Proposition support perspective include:

  • Support the maintenance of financial planning and investment management propositions, including pensions, Mortgages and Protection, a Managed Portfolio Service (MPS) and bespoke Discretionary investment product (DPS).
  • Support the Proposition Managers in ensuring that Quilter Cheviot's Financial Planning and Investments proposition is regularly reviewed and remains fit for purpose, including managing the concessions process for any deviation from the Financial Planning Core Investment Proposition (CIP) or Product Panel.
  • Support the Proposition Managers in maintaining relationships with third party providers, including holding regular provider liaison meetings to ensure that any queries can be resolved in a timely manner. Assist the Proposition Managers with collating Management Information (MI) linked to third party / panel providers.
  • You will also work in close collaboration with the Proposition Managers and other departments in the business to help effectively manage any propositional change delivery, linked to both proposition enhancements and new proposition development.

Key areas from an Advice Standards perspective include:

  • Support the development and maintenance of Quilter Cheviot's Financial Planning Advice Standards and help maintain a review cycle to ensure the standards remain up to date.
  • Ensure that Quilter Cheviot's Advice Standards align to our strategy, service offering, target market, and external influences (including regulatory).
  • Ensure that any changes are applied consistently across all Advice collateral. This will include the Advice Standards, the Business Submission Standards, Checklists, Process maps and Suitability Reports.
  • Help conduct impact assessments on Quilter Cheviot's Financial Planning Advice Standards and Advice collateral, relating to regulatory or propositional changes.
  • Help manage the regulatory change calendar, to allow the team to plan for effective and timely implementation of resulting changes in Advice Standards.

Additionally, the role will help to prepare and distribute any forum related MI and presentation decks required from the Proposition team. The role will also be responsible for tracking the Proposition team's actions from governance committees and forums. Finally, the role will be required to provide project support to the Proposition Managers and Advice Standards Manager with any Proposition / Advice Standards projects that the team is leading, in addition to the change initiatives mentioned above.

About You

You will have:

  • A comprehensive working understanding of investment and financial planning products, as well as financial planning practices / Advice Standards.
  • Experience working with third party providers and producing provider sales data MI, acting as a liaison, ensuring clear communication with stakeholders at all stages.
  • Understanding of typical client needs and objectives across both financial planning and investment products, ideally having practised in a client facing role and / or worked in a Business Assurance function.
  • Strong organisational skills, be able to undertake detailed analysis, and have the ability to present findings to and influence key stakeholders as required.
  • You will be organised and analytical, as the role will involve the production of impact assessments and the presentation of this information to various stakeholders with varying degrees of knowledge.
  • Comfort in creating and implementing change within a product / proposition and Advice Standards setting.
  • The ability to communicate clearly and translate complex topics and logic into simple and understandable steps for others.
  • The ability to multi-task and meet tight deadlines, whilst still having a positive attitude to build strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong communication skills, with an ability to navigate complex organisational environments and work with multiple stakeholders at varying seniority levels.
