Project Quantity Surveyor

We are looking for an experienced Project Quantity Surveyor to join our commercial team, supporting a major construction project based in Westport, Co. Mayo. In this role you will be supported by an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor and Commercial Director, with a clear pathway for progression.
This role offers the opportunity to work on a high-profile project, taking ownership of the commercial management of the project from pre-construction through to final account while working with an ambitious and growing team.
What You'll Do- Manage the commercial and contractual aspects of the project from commencement through to final account
- Prepare and manage project budgets, cost plans, cash flow forecasts, and cost reporting
- Measure and value subcontractor works and prepare interim valuations
- Procure subcontractors and suppliers, managing the tendering and negotiation process
- Assess, negotiate, and agree variations, change orders, and final accounts
- Monitor project costs and identify opportunities to maximise value and improve commercial performance
- Prepare monthly commercial reports and forecasts for senior management
- Work closely with Project Managers, Site Teams, Clients, and Design Teams to support successful project delivery
- Ensure all commercial documentation is maintained accurately throughout the project lifecycle
- Support the successful delivery of projects safely, on programme, within budget, and to the highest quality standards
- Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, or a related discipline
- 3-5 years' experience in a Quantity Surveying role within the construction industry
- Experience working on residential, commercial, healthcare, education, or industrial construction projects
- Strong understanding of construction contracts and commercial management
- Excellent commercial awareness, negotiation, and analytical skills
- Strong communication and organisational abilities
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and commercial management software
- Experience delivering construction projects in Ireland
