Project Officer (Housing)

Overview

Are you passionate about delivering affordable housing and making a real impact in the community? Sandwell Council's Housing Partnerships Team is at the forefront of increasing affordable homes across the borough. We lead the council house build programme and work closely with registered providers to support the delivery of their schemes.

As a key contributor to Sandwell Council being named Local Planning Authority of the Year 2024 by the RTPI, our team plays a crucial role in shaping the future of housing in the area. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of an award-winning service and make a difference in the lives of local residents.

Job Summary

• Reporting to a senior officer, manage projects from conception to delivery ensuring project risks are managed and that projects are delivered on time and to budget.
• To draft reports and business cases for projects.

Essential Requirements

• Educated to A Level with a willingness to undertake additional training as required
• Some experience of working in a complex project environment
• Able to work effectively under pressure, achieving tight deadlines
