Overview

Project Officer for Ribo-Code BBSRC sLoLa, Faculty of Biological Sciences

This role will be based on the university campus with scope for it to be undertaken in a hybrid manner. We are also open to discussing flexible working arrangements.

Responsibilities
  • Organise meetings, reporting and facilitate research; oversee day-to-day running of the programme and its future development.
  • Co-ordinate external advocacy (e.g. with the advisory board) and public engagement activities.
  • Ensure effective utilisation of resources, budget updates and that data storage systems are in place.
  • Coordinate collaborative working between academics at 3 universities, a scientific advisory board and 16 researchers, and assist with future funding applications.
Qualifications and skills
  • Degree-level qualification in science, engineering, business or project management.
  • Track record in the management of similar academic projects, with demonstrable project management skills, including strong analytical, creative and problem-solving skills.
  • Highly organised and motivated with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Background in the biomedical sciences and experience in coordinating cross-institutional research projects is advantageous.
