£250 - £275 per day (inside IR35) via Umbrella
South London Local Authority
5-6 months initial interim
Full time role - hybrid Working (2-3 days in office)

Your role as Project Officer - Children's Social Care Reforms

• Support the delivery of key projects aligned to the national Children's Social Care Reforms, including Family Help, Multi Agency Child Protection Teams, and Family Led Decision Making.
• Assist with project planning, coordination and tracking to ensure milestones, risks and dependencies are well managed.
• Contribute to the development of business cases, project plans, reports and improvement documentation.
• Monitor progress and provide updates to senior leaders, government bodies, and multi agency partners.
• Support statutory returns, inspection readiness activity and internal performance reporting.
• Undertake research, data analysis and feasibility studies to inform local transformation plans.
• Maintain effective working relationships across children's services, partners and external stakeholders.
• Strengthen project delivery and organisational learning by supporting continuous improvement across Slough Children First

Your previous experience as a Project Officer

• Experience in project support, coordination or transformation, ideally within children's services, local government, or the wider public sector.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks, deadlines and priorities.
• Confident working with data, reports, business cases and analytical information.
• Excellent communication skills, able to engage stakeholders at all levels.
• A proactive, detail focused approach with the ability to work collaboratively in a fast paced programme environment.
• Comfortable supporting high profile projects and reporting into senior leaders.
• An understanding of children's social care, safeguarding, or public sector change programmes (desirable)
