We are working with a growing Software consultancy. They have specific strengths in product, Microsoft and bespoke Development.

They have a key requirement for an experienced Project Manager/Scrum Master. The role will encompass both PM and Scrum master responsibilities to support the successful delivery of projects. This role is central to guiding teams through both the Discovery Phase and the full agile delivery lifecycle.

You will facilitate the discovery and definition of project goals, lead agile ceremonies, remove impediments, foster continuous improvement, and ensure delivery aligns with organisational standards and customer needs.

Agile certification (Foundation or Practitioner level) is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities

Your remit will include PM & Discovery, Scrum Master, stakeholder engagement and helping foster a focus on continuous improvement.

Project Management & Discovery

  • Lead the Discovery Phase to establish project scope, objectives, risks, constraints, and high-level timelines.
  • Collaborate closely with stakeholders to understand requirements, align expectations, and ensure a shared understanding of desired outcomes.
  • Produce clear discovery documentation, including problem statements, user needs, process maps, and proposed delivery approaches.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, milestones, resource allocations, and risk logs.
  • Ensure projects transition smoothly from Discovery into Agile delivery.
Scrum Master Responsibilities
  • Serve as Scrum Master for one or more agile delivery teams, supporting them in applying Scrum values, principles, and practices.
  • Facilitate all core agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, retrospectives, and backlog refinement.
  • Work closely with Product Owners to ensure a well-groomed and prioritised backlog.
  • Remove blockers and coach teams to self-organise and continuously improve delivery performance.
  • Promote an environment of collaboration, transparency, psychological safety, and high-quality communication.
  • Champion agile ways of working and help mature agile capability across the organisation.
Stakeholder & Team Collaboration
  • Build strong, positive relationships with team members, stakeholders, and customers.
  • Communicate project progress, risks, and impacts in a clear and empathetic manner.
  • Foster a culture of openness, trust, and shared ownership.
  • Encourage cross-functional collaboration and knowledge sharing.
Continuous Improvement
  • Identify opportunities to refine processes, improve team dynamics, and enhance delivery outcomes.
Does this sound like you?
  • Proven experience as a Project Manager and/or Scrum Master within an agile delivery environment.
  • Strong facilitation, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead discovery or early-phase project activities.
  • Experience supporting teams through the full agile delivery lifecycle.
  • Warm, friendly, and collaborative working style with a focus on team empowerment.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Desirable
  • Agile Certification (AgilePM Foundation/Practitioner, Scrum Master Certification, or equivalent).
  • Experience working in multi-disciplinary teams (e.g., designers, developers, product owners, analysts).
  • Knowledge of additional delivery frameworks (Kanban, Lean, SAFe, etc.).
