Project Manager Sustainability (bilingual Spanish and English)

We are looking for a Project Manager to work alongside our clients and partners, internationally and locally. This is a fantastic opportunity to establish and further your career, working on projects at the intersection of sustainability / innovation/ new-technologies within a growing international Sustainable Innovation SME based in Madrid.

• Innovation Strategy & Management
• Sustainability and Circularity Strategy development
• Digital solutions for Sustainability and Circularity
• Organisational Transformation
• Upskilling, re-skilling and training
• Standards & regulatory implementation, compliance & reporting

Main responsibilities:

• Lead and manage projects in innovation, sustainability, and the circular economy.
• Take full ownership of project delivery, ensuring high-quality results on time and within budget.
• Work proactively with minimal supervision, showing strong initiative and problem-solving skills.
• Coordinate with teams and stakeholders to ensure smooth and aligned project execution.
• Embed sustainable and circular principles throughout all project phases.
• Prepare clear documentation, reports, and support funding or proposal submissions.
• Present confidently to customers and stakeholders; must be comfortable and proactive in client-facing settings.

Qualifications:

• A relevant technical degree, such as a Engineering, Environmental Sciences or equivalent qualification in a related field.
• Minimum 5 years professional experience.
• Results-driven and proactive, with strong ownership of outcomes and a focus on delivering impact.
• Proven experience managing projects, ideally in innovation, sustainability, or circular economy.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Ability to manage budgets, timelines, and multiple stakeholders effectively.
• Experience working with international teams and diverse backgrounds and cultures.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English and Spanish.

Desirable:

• PMP certification or equivalent PM credentials (e.g., PRINCE2, Agile, Scrum) are a plus.
• Previous experience working in a consultancy is desirable.
• Confident communicator with experience in customer-facing roles and delivering presentations.
• Experience working with public entities is an advantage.
• Commercial awareness or business development experience is a plus.
• Availability to travel internationally occasionally.
