Job Description

Project Manager (HV Cabling)

Our client, a respected leader in the power distribution sector, is currently seeking a Project Manager to join their dynamic team. This permanent role offers the opportunity to work on EHV cabling projects, including 132kv systems, and is based across the M4 Corridor.

Swindon / Oxford location ideal and this will be site based.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Managing the end-to-end delivery of cabling projects, including planning, execution, and closing activities
  • Ensuring all projects comply with industry standards and safety regulations, particularly those set by Distribution Network Operators (DNOs)
  • Coordinating with internal teams and external contractors to ensure efficient project execution
  • Overseeing the installation and maintenance of 132kv cabling systems
  • Monitoring project progress and performance, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget
  • Conducting risk assessments and implementing mitigation strategies
  • Preparing detailed project reports and documentation
  • Maintaining strong communication with all stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies
Job Requirements:
  • Significant experience in project management within the power distribution sector
  • Strong understanding of HV cabling projects, particularly 33kv -132kv systems
  • Experience working with Distribution Network Operators (DNOs)
  • Knowledge of Streetworks, CDM and HSG47
  • Exceptional organisational and leadership skills
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Relevant Project Management qualification or equivalent experience
