Project Manager

MAIN ROLE AND ACTIVITIES

• Leading cross-functional project team, in defining the necessary required concepts, solution design and all subsequent phases of successful MBE (Model Based Enterprise) system and process implementation
• Accountable for the entire digital MBE engineering program (Project Planning, Budget Management, Reporting)
• Provide and maintain an innovative working environment for the project team and all involved partners
• Interdisciplinary teamwork with various disciplines like development engineers, manufacturing experts, scientists, etc
• Responsible for MBE program roadmap and project plans that defines the time, budget, resources and scope of the project in compliance with the project sponsor
• Presentation of project progress in the frame of STECO boards based on project content, costs and project timeline
• Close collaboration with all involved stakeholders to assure appropriate deliverables and smart solutions
• Establish a comprehensive and powerful MBD interest group and external partner network
• Prepare & conduct presentation at various platforms to get people informed continuously about MBD Initiative
• Communication, Inspiring and Presenting of VAT's MBD vision and project to all stakeholders
• Close networking and continuous exchange of experience with VAT's Digital Engineering Streams Plan

• Several years of work experience as an IT project manager (5+). Active and resilient personality
• Operating experience in working directly with customers and partner networks
• Experience in leading interdisciplinary teams

COMPETENCIES - What competencies bring success to this position?

• Bachelor Degree with experience in leading IT related projects; other degrees will be considered based on experience.
  An advanced degree is preferred
• Able to execute projects of significant complexity and uncertainty from concept through final implementation
• Strong adaptive communication skills to structure and influence discussions within the team and all involved stakeholders
  (Steering Committee, Executive Management, Quarterly Board Report Meetings, Competence Forum)
• Record of accomplishment in leading the delivery of complex projects
• Practical know how in eningeering, design and manufacturing processes would be preferable
• Basic Experience & Knowledge of CAD-CAM-CMM-PLM tools
• Ability to travel based on project requirements and manage different time zones
• Fluent in German & English (spoken and written)
