Job Description:

SUMMARY:

Serves as the Project Manager leading the coordination of client deliverables throughout the customer lifecycle. This person collaborates with internal and external project teams to continually communicate service expectations, process changes, project status and any pertinent client business issues. Ultimately the Project Manager is accountable along with the project team for creating a satisfied customer through providing a consistent level of customer service that is aligned with Heidrick Consulting's values and meets the objectives for each account on which they are assigned.

In addition to partnering with our clients, the Project Manager also partners with the project team to ensure implementation of strategic plan. They ensure that deadlines are met and the flawless execution of all deliverables is achieved.

Fixed-Term contract from September 2025 - November 2026

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Owning the full lifecycle management of medium to large complex projects utilizing project management methodologies.
  • Sets up the project management plans.
  • Facilitates initial planning meeting with project team to review and understand the scope and purpose of the engagement. Conducts client research and shares background information with the team.
  • Conducts mobilization call or meeting with client contact to partner and educate them on the process and expectations.
  • Partners with consultants and other functional areas to ensure success of client engagement.
  • Accountable for the success of the project making sure all client deliverable content, quality, schedules and cost are met. Escalates any concerns as appropriate.
  • Acts as the primary liaison to the client contacts and internal staff regarding all aspects of engagements.
  • Maximizes project team's time delivering value added service to client.
  • Schedules interviews, conference calls and appointments with client as needed.
  • Understands contracts and project plans. Manages and maintains project reporting.
  • Understands commercial management and takes action to help ensure project profitability is maintained.
  • Acts as the internal resource for the project team to answer questions regarding the client or the engagement.
  • Coordinates/directs the design of all client deliverables.
  • Reviews monthly billing to ensure contract specifications are followed and invoices are accurate.
  • Contributes to continuous improvements and best practices of the organization.

SKILLS NECESSARY TO SUCCEED:

  • Ability to manage internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
  • Extraordinary attention to detail as well as superior organizational, planning and time management skills; proficient at meeting deadlines, including tight deadlines and working on multiple projects in a fast paced and challenging environment.
  • Has the ability to handle a high level of autonomy in project delivery.
  • The ability to build and maintain rapport with the clients, consultants and staff through mutual trust, respect and purpose.
  • Focus on quality in producing impeccable customer service.
  • Facilitate with business acumen, and ability to comfortably discuss business issues at the C-Level. The ability to develop and present a project plan and appropriate project reports. Structure interactions and deliverables to keep team focused and accountable.
  • Knowledge about the objectives of the project and recommends workable solutions to problems.
  • The ability to clearly articulate ideas, opinions, feelings, and information in conversations so that business objectives are achieved and the needs of the customers are met.
  • The ability to understand strategic goals and determine tactically how to achieve them.
  • Understands project management practices, procedures and continuous process improvements.
  • Prior to initial contact with each client, can research and partner with consultants to demonstrate a deep understanding of the client's business and the planned structure of the consulting engagement.
  • Has the ability to influence others through positive/accountable approaches.
  • Ability to give and receive coaching and feedback.

EXPERIENCE:

  • Up to 5 years working on medium to large scale projects.
  • (For external candidates: Minimum of 5 to 7 years in a similar corporate environment role.)
  • Proven record in leadership experience with managing and delivering successful projects without close supervision.
  • Professional qualifications in project management preferred, e.g. PRINCE2/PMP equivalent
