A great opportunity has opened for a Project Manager for a leading Financial Services Client of ours in Utrecht, Netherlands.

Contract Duration: 11+ months (rolling contract)

This role is for a consultant to support a high-priority initiative aimed at reducing risks related to Payment Service Providers (PSPs), as highlighted in the 2023 SIRA report. The consultant will lead delivery of improvements outside standard operations, focusing on financial economic crime (FEC), compliance, and transaction monitoring. Key tasks include developing a Transaction Analysis Framework and enhancing monitoring and control measures for PSP clients.

The ideal candidate is an experienced FEC or compliance professional with solid project management expertise and a deep understanding of PSPs. Deliverables must be SMART and completed within six months, with a potential extension of three months.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver a Transaction Analysis Framework
• Develop scenarios for enhanced Transaction Monitoring
• Update and define Expected Transaction Profiles for PSP clients
• Ensure all deliverables are SMART (Specific, Measurable, Acceptable, Realistic, Time-based)

Outstanding Deliverables:

• Tooling for Transaction Analysis
• Implementation of new Transaction Monitoring rules (in testing)
• Final list of red flags and risk controls for PSP counterparties

Ideal Candidate Profile:

• FEC or compliance (banking sector)
• At least 3 years in project management
• Strong PSP knowledge (experience in a PSP is a plus)
• Fluent in Dutch and English
• Strong communicator and stakeholder manager
• Results-focused and independent
