Project Manager

G2 is currently looking for a Project Manager (Brownfield) for an FMCG client based near to Amsterdam, this is handling their onsite OPEX projects through to completion. This is a freelance / interim position.

The client is a food & beverage company, operating on a global scale. They require someone who can work proactively between the projects, maintenance, operational and HSE teams.

The client is looking for a Project Manager to join supporting projects from planning through to execution. This mainly involves mechanical / electrical installations & maintenance, replacing obsolete equipment and carrying out project scheduling and permitting.

START: June 2025 - July 2025

LOCATION: Amsterdam Region, Netherlands

DURATION: 6-month initial contract, extension likely to mid-2027 if 2nd approval is successful

WORKING PATTERN: Hybrid. 75% onsite near to Amsterdam, the rest can be from home.

PROJECT MANAGER - Food Industry - Amsterdam Region

• Brownfield project management experience - CAPEX or OPEX
• Affinity to link between projects, maintenance, operational and HSE teams
• Knowledge of AutoCAD, MS Projects & Excel
• Request quotes, plan and complete permitting and work independently
• Project management methodologies - training / education in this field
• Manage external engineering, construction, and equipment suppliers
• A high level of engagement with manufacturing teams
• Previous experience on brownfield maintenance, upgrade or replacement projects - this role will be hands-on, working on equipment upgrade / replacement and installations
• Work in close collaboration with local business stakeholders, particularly operations and maintenance teams, to ensure the upgrades are aligned with site constraints and schedules.
• Knowledge of testing & commissioning of equipment on an existing facility
• Technical engineering background - Mechanical or Electrical is preferrable
• Fluent in Dutch / English - essential
